Good to know if you need to cut the door get the approximate layout of the cut and use masking tape on top and bottom of the cut line to reduce splintering as the cut.

I know this isn t necessary but some of my wood subfloor is a tiny bit uneven and i d feel more comfortable with a thicker underlayment i currently have laminate down with a thick felt silent walk underlayment. I d like to also put down a thin underlayment on the wood subfloor. Laminate floors may be glued down or installed as floating systems which lock together using tongue and groove connectors. Because laminate is typically thinner and less sturdy than real wood it is critical that you properly level the subfloor before you install laminate.

Prepadded laminate is flooring material that contains the sound dampening and leveling padding already in place on the bottom of the flooring panels.
